Blackberry Playbook


Berry Smart

After the likes of Samsung,Apple,HTC and Motorola (and a few others) Research in Motion (RIM), a leading player in the smartphone segment has also launched its tablet called the BlackBerry Playbook.
The very name suggests that the brand known for its enterprise functionality is trying to break away from this brand image and wants to show that BlackBerry are not all work and no fun! The Playbook is a 7.6 inch tablet,devoid of any buttons except the power key,volume/skip key and the play/pause key. The 7.0-inch
capacitive LCD screen is a breeze to use. It has HDMI support through mini HDMI and it's port along with mini USB port is given at the button along with a docking port. The design of the Playbook is sleek and stylish.




Play On

The Playbook comes with a 5.0-megapixel camera but no flash.You can use stablisation autofocus mode and sports scene mode for taking pictures. The camera quality is average especially in light condition as the tab doesn't have any flash. The cameras is capable of taking 1080p videos and the quality is acceptable. You can use the secondary camera for taking stills and 1080p videos too. There is no dedicated video Player in the Playbook but it easily played all the videos we threw at it. It also comes with DivX and XviD support.




Alternative


The BlackBerry Playbook 16 GB,32 GB,64 GB costs RS 26,500, Rs 32,500, Rs 37,500 respectively. Other options include Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 inch priced at RS 25,200. The Wi-Fi-only iPad2 comes at a price of Rs 29,500,Rs 34,500,Rs 69,500 for 16 GB,32 GB,64 GB respectively.
