Samsung to launch Nexus Prime on October 19



Samsung is going to launch the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-based smartphone at an event in Hong Kong, scheduled to be held on October 19. This android phone expected be dubbed the Nexus Prime and be manufactured by Samsung. Samsung Nexus Prime can be the the first android phone which can running on Ice Cream Sandwich. But that’s all a rumor and Samsung might have confirmed the device.



Samsung’s legal department may have confirmed rumors that the company is indeed working on the next Google phone dubbed the Nexus Prime. Rumors if Samsung Nexus Prime would be the first handset to sport Android Ice Cream Sandwich. To prevent another rumor, the Samsung legal department issued a cease and desist letter for Samsung Nexus Prime. Thr cease and desist letter was a warning to an individual who believe to have in possession the upcoming firmware for the Samsung Nexus Prime. The letter stated that “the Nexus Prime firmware is the exclusive property of Samsung and/or its partners, suppliers and affiliates. The Korean manufacturer wants it back, it’s an exclusive Samsung property and not to be released to the public. According to the rumors, Samsung Nexus Prime will featured with 4.5″ new generation Super AMOLED screen and build with Samsung’s Exynos SoC.
